As a serving soldier in New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), and a veteran of a tour with 1RHA in Bosnia in the early 2000′s, I’d be keen on buying a copy if/when you guys manage to convince the fat-cats at Hasbro to get off their collective third points of contact and do something about it.

If the company isn’t prepared to make it, how about going down the route and doing it yourself. Maybe call it Monopolised, they cannot monopolise the market with their name it goes against everything in industry. I’m sure they will listen then, it could make you rich M8. I may go down this route myself, Might bring out REME, Tankie, Arty, Inf, RLC etc version’s

Sorry I haven’t replied to any one message as I didn’t realise there were so many since my last visit to this page.
I would like to thank everyone for your continued support. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of new news on the game’s development.
Hasbro UK and Winning Moves are happy to lend their names to the game but like the supermarkets (Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Tesco) they need convincing of it’s appeal to the consumer and therefore won’t finance it’s making. Telephone and email correspondence from the supermarkets have said that they would like me to contact them again if the game is made so that we can discuss the possibility of supplying them with the game. I have since written to organisations such as the National Lottery Fund requesting aid and advice. I will of course inform you of any advances should they happen.

What a brilliant idea. I would purchase this game when it comes out. Having friends who serve in the military and a supporter of Help For Heroes/The British Legion, it is the least I could do to help a noble cause

I would love to see this made available and purchase, i have quite a few editions of monopoly and feel being able to get this one as a sign of support to the armed services as something i would gladly. I especially love the idea of part of it (or however much) being towards a service charity. Brilliant concept! A definite buy!

Hi Martin,
just wanted to pop you a quick email without having to abide by the whole 140 characters twitter thing :)
yeah the way i see it working would be to talk to Hasbro about publishing an army version of their monopoly app, the good thing about this is because they have already published the app and everything game wise is already in place they could literally just take the art work off the game they have at the moment and replace it with the army branded artwork instead. This is something which could be done very quickly by a programmer they had or very cheaply on your own if they provided you with the game files (first choice is much easier :) )
the benefits for using a digital way would be its a lot faster and cheaper for everyone involved and it would take any investment from Hasbro further than publishing an app. You can publish this on the android app store and apple app store for a small percentage of the price paid and Hasbro could take a little cut if they wanted and the rest going to the charities of your choice.
everyone who has a phone, or tablet computer would be able to access the app and if you priced it (depending on what Hasbro wanted to do) low many more potential sales would probably be made versus a £20 proper monopoly game. And you wouldn’t ahve to deal with silly retailers who want to make some quick money!
Hopefully this information can help, I’d love to see it go through and i think all the work you’ve been doing for this is brilliant, don’t give up hope! there must be a way of doing it!

I would most certainly buy this game were it to be released. My husband and I are keen military enthusiasts but I think the British military has played such a massive key role in our society and country as we know it and think my children would benefit from playing the game and the learning about our fantastic army. I don’t have the capital to support this but someone must have!
